This type of piecing is more contemporary and is called “Stack and Whack.” However, the old fashioned name of this block is called the kaleidoscope. When you piece together the same repeat in the fabric in this way, the results can be unpredictable. And using different repeats in the fabric can produce entirely different blocks. It’s quite fun not to be able to plan your quilt and rely on serendipity…

The quilting uses an old fashioned grid in the background, which goes quite nicely with the design.

Quilt has two hanging sleeves, one on the top for hanging and one on the bottom for a weighted rod to keep the quilt hanging straight. Price includes both rods and a bag for storing the quilt in.
