This quilt is based on a design by M.P. Verneuil, a designer who produced work in the Art Nouveau period. I really love working with the flowing lines of the artwork of this period. Poppies have always appealed to me with their almost glow-in-the-dark colors and their fuzzy leaves. The border fabric is English Liberty cotton and its hand (how it feels) is wonderful! The patterning of that fabric is fitting with the Nouveau “look.” The colors of this piece are particularly fun and striking.

Quilt has two hanging sleeves, one on the top for hanging and one on the bottom for a weighted rod to keep the quilt hanging straight. Price includes both rods and a bag for storing the quilt in.
